KATHMANDU, Sept 12: A special team from the District Police Range Kathmandu successfully recovered one kilogram of illegal gold from the vicinity of Tribhuvan International Airport today.
This development occurred as part of an ongoing investigation into a larger case involving 61 kilograms of gold. Authorities were in the process of preparing the investigation report for submission to the public prosecutor's office when this additional one kilogram of smuggled gold was seized.

Sources indicate that the illegal gold was smuggled into the country via an international flight. The police have intensified their efforts to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter, with the aim to unearth further details surrounding the smuggling operation.
