Illegally imported fish destroyed

BHARATPUR, Nov 15: Two thousand kilograms of illegally imported fish has been destroyed in Bharatpur. The farmers took a vehicle (Lu 3 Cha 3336) headed for Kathmandu from Bardaghat of Nawalparasi under control and destroyed the illegally imported fish it was carrying.

BHARATPUR, Nov 15: Two thousand kilograms of illegally imported fish has been destroyed in Bharatpur. The farmers took a vehicle (Lu 3 Cha 3336) headed for Kathmandu from Bardaghat of Nawalparasi under control and destroyed the illegally imported fish it was carrying.



The farmers took help from the Armed Police Force to control and destroy the illegal import on Monday. It is said the market price of the destroyed fish is some Rs 400,000.

Chairperson of Fishery Association in Chitwan, Khagendra Subedi, said that the documents and bills showed that the fish was imported from India. The entrepreneurs in Chitwan have been conducting regular monitoring of the fishes brought illegally.
