KATHMANDU, Dec 7: The impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana that was registered in parliament has become inactive. General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Dr Bharatraj Gautam has given him a letter that the motion has become inactive.
Rana said that he has received the letter from the parliament secretariat. He also said that he will appear in court today as the impeachment motion against him has become inactive.

Rana is set to retire as the country’s Chief Justice on December 13.
