POKHARA, March 27: As the air quality deteriorates across the nation, the lake city Pokhara, too, has been blanketed with a thick toxic haze.



Like the Kathmandu Valley and other major cities, Pokhara has also witnessed a rise in air pollution level.

Locals have been complaining of burning eyes in recent days.


According to the Chief of Office of Hydrology and Metrology of Pokhara, Rajaram Prasad Dhakal, the air quality index of Pokhara was unhealthy and hazardous to health. The air pollution has resulted in low visibility in the city.
