KATHMANDU, April 28: Oxygen factories are working 24 hours a day to produce medical oxygen with a sharp rise in demand for oxygen.



As Nepal is severely hit by the second wave of COVID-19, the demand for oxygen in isolation centers and hospitals has also sharply risen.

Workers at the Lagankhel-based Sagarmatha Oxygen Nepal Private Limited were busy filling oxygen in cylinders on Wednesday. The factory has begun operating 24 hours a day. It has the capacity of producing 850 oxygen cylinders a day.
