KATHMANDU, May 28: The 17th Republic Day is being celebrated at the Nepal Army Pavilion, Tundikhel, Kathmandu, this morning under the aegis of the Republic Main Ceremony Committee. President Ram Chandra Paudel attended the event as the chief guest of the function.
The Nepali Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force performed a march past at the special function. A joint team of the Nepal Army and Armed Police Force presented songs/lyrics reflecting the feelings of nation and nationality.

The special ceremony was attended by ministers, constitutional bodies' chiefs, high-ranking government officials, chiefs of security bodies, chiefs and representatives of diplomatic missions and other distinguished personalities.
