POKHARA, March 18: An Indian tourist, who was visiting the religious site of Muktinath in the Himalayan district of Mustang, died of altitude sickness on Sunday.
DSP Bhojraj Pandey said that 83-year-old B Narayan, a resident of Hyderabad, India, died of altitude sickness. In the last two weeks, two Indian tourists who had gone to visit Muktinath died of altitude sickness, according to the police.

According to Pandey, B Narayan died on Sunday afternoon due to breathing problems. A group of 41 Indian tourists including B Narayan had reached Mustang on Saturday.
According to the police, that group of Indian nationals visited Muktinath on Saturday itself. B Narayan, who was staying at the hotel after returning from visiting the temple, had breathing problems and was brought to the district hospital for treatment. He had come to visit Muktinath in a group with his daughter and relatives. According to the police, the body of the deceased has been handed over to the family members.
Earlier, on March 4, another Indian pilgrim who had gone to visit the Muktinath temple also died due to altitude sickness. The deceased was 57-year-old Bhupendra Bhai Patel from Gujarat, India.
