When Steve Jobs launched the iPhone ten years back in June 2007, he’d said, “We are gonna go for it and see if we can get 1% market share” (of estimated 1 billion phones sold in 2006). In its first year, 2008, Apple sold 12m iPhones, going on to over 800 million units worldwide.
