Information Minister vows to draft online media guidelines

KATHMANDU, Jan 12: Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet has said that separate guidelines would be prepared to organize the online media. 



Inaugurating the second-anniversary programme of National Online Journalists' Association here Thursday, Minister said he would prepare the guidelines during his tenure.

He stressed the need for making the online news portals more systematic and effective adding that Nepalis at home and abroad are also operating the online media. 


Chief Commissioner of National Information Commission Krishna Hari Baskota, former Chairman of Press Council Nepal Borna Bahadur Karki and Association's Chairman Mukunda Dhungana expressed their opinions during the programme. RSS
