KATHMANDU, March 3: Jasmine Fitness and Idea Shop is all set to organize the fourth Interclub Women’s Squat Tournament from Thursday. The two-day tournament is being organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
The tournament coordinator and Jasmine Fitness’ Director Niroj Lama said that the tournament will feature more than 200 women players from all around the country. The tournament will be played in two rounds and the players will take part in over 60 kg weight category and under 60 kg weight category.
Participants raise the bar in women squat competition
The players who get past the preliminary qualification round will enter the next round which will be played on Friday. The preliminary round will be played at the Jasmine Fitness and Spa in Tripureshwar, while the last round will be played at the Labim Mall in Lalitpur.
The winner of both the categories will be rewarded with Rs 50,000 each, while the runner-ups will take home a cash prize of Rs 30,000 each. Likewise, the third-placed players will bag a purse of Rs 20,000 each.
