International Nepali Sahitya Samaj felicitates Sambhujit Baskota

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Renowned Musician and former Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama, Shambhujit Baskota was felicitated with ‘INSS Rastra Kabi Madav Ghimire Bisista Geet Puraskar-2075’ amidst a special program organized by International Nepali Sahitya Samaj (INSS) on Monday in an event held in Kathmandu.

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Renowned Musician and former Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama, Shambhujit Baskota was felicitated with ‘INSS Rastra Kabi Madav Ghimire Bisista Geet Puraskar-2075’ amidst a special program organized by International Nepali Sahitya Samaj (INSS) on Monday in an event held in Kathmandu.



Along with the title, he bagged a cash prize of Rs 21,100. Cultural expert  Chetan Karki, poets,  Toya Gurung and Ramdayal Rakesh, and Laxmi Maali,  lyricist  Haridevi Koirala, and theater artist Sampada Malla were also felicitated with different titles at the event.

According to the press statement, the felicitation program was followed by the launch program where Unnati Bohora’s song ‘Farki Aau Shanti Timi’ and Arjun Thapa’s story collection entitled ‘Naam Matra Ko Logne’ were jointly launched by Radheshyam Lekali, President, International Nepali Sahitya Samaj.


 Writer Maya Thakuri, Musician Shambhujit Baskota and Cultural Expert Chetan Karki, winners of recently organized competition of International Nepali Sahitya Samaj were also felicitated in the program.
