KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Impeachment Recommendation Committee (IRC) at the Legislature-Parliament on Friday submitted its final report on the impeachment motion filed against disqualified CIAA chief Lokman Singh Karki to speaker Onsari Gharti.
Committee Chairperson Kumari Laxmi Rai handed over the recommendation report to Speaker Gharti at the latter's chamber at Parliament Secretariat today.
According to committee member Rewati Raman Bhandari, the Committee has identified enough ground to impeach Karki but the Committee has not recommended moving the impeachment motion further as the Supreme Court has already scrapped Karki's appointment as CIAA chief.

According to lawmaker Bhandari, the Committee has suggested keeping a record of the report at the Parliament Secretariat, Office of the Prime Minister, Secretariat of the Constitutional Council and the National Archives for future reference.
As per the recommendation of the Committee, the parliament can instruct concerned government agencies to probe further on the decisions taken by Karki as CIAA chief.
