Irregular power supply affects hospital service

DAMAK, June 27: The government-owned hospital in Damak, Jhapa has witnessed disruption of service for over a week due to inadequate power supply.

DAMAK, June 27: The government-owned hospital in Damak, Jhapa has witnessed disruption of service for over a week due to inadequate power supply.



All the services of Damak Public Hospital have been affected due to variation in the flow of voltage. The service recipients have been hit hard with the disruption of electricity flow.

Dr. Manish Kumar Sharma, medical superintendant of the hospital, said the fluctuating flow of power supply has adversely affected the delivery of lab-related services including x-ray and ECG.


He further said the hospital has resorted to close down its all services when the complaints registered at the local government and electricity office for the smooth power supply was not heeded.


As many as 200 patients are receiving health service from the government based hospital in Damak-1.
