Janamat Party announces ‘New Republican Movement’ (With Photos)

KATHMANDU, May 28: On the occasion of Republic Day, the Janamat Party has announced what it calls a ‘New Republican Movement’ aimed at addressing the economic and political challenges in the country.

KATHMANDU, May 28: On the occasion of Republic Day, the Janamat Party has announced what it calls a ‘New Republican Movement’ aimed at addressing the economic and political challenges in the country.



During a program at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu today, the party’s Secretary BP Shah explained the rationale behind the movement. Despite celebrating the 17th Republic Day, Shah emphasized, the country has not achieved economic prosperity and stability, prompting the need for a new movement. "We are proclaiming a new republican movement to improve the economic system, ensure political stability, and increase productivity in the country," Shah stated.

To mark the occasion, the Janamat Party organized a march featuring cultural tableaux, which started at 11 AM. The march proceeded through Bhadrakali, Shaheed Gate, Bir Hospital, and Ratnapark before culminating into a meeting at Bhrikuti Mandap. About 800 more people from Madhesh have come to Kathmandu to support the Newkind of Republic Movement.


Dr CK Raut, the chairman of Janamat Party, formally announced the movement while addressing the meeting.
