SAPTARI , April 3: One person has been arrested from Saptari on the charge of loan sharking. Police said that the accused was arrested from Rajbiraj in Saptari on Monday morning.
According to DSP Naresh Kumar Singh, Saptari Police have arrested Surendra Madhesi, against whom a case of criminal offense and fraud was pending.

According to a leader, the arrested Madhesi is a central member of the Janamat Party led by CK Raut. He was also a founding member of the party and is also a dairy businessman.
Madhesi was arrested from Saptari while the loan shark victims made a journey to Kathmandu on foot for 11 days demanding justice against loan sharks.
The loan sharking victims had inked a five-point agreement with the government under the coordination of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha on Saturday.
