Journalist Dong no more

KATHMANDU, March 27: Journalist Deependra Dong has passed away. He was 44 years old.

KATHMANDU, March 27: Journalist Deependra Dong has passed away. He was 44 years old.



Group editor of Janata Broadcasting and Publication Ltd, Dong died on March 25 in the course of treatment. He was also the station manager of Radio Janata.

Dong was admitted to Mediciti Hospital after suffering from brain hemorrhage two weeks ago. 


Dong was the general secretary of International Network for Nepali Journalists Asia (INNJA). He was also a concept developer and script writer of several Tamang language films. He is survived by a spouse, a son and a daughter.


His last rites were performed as per the Tamang rituals and tradition near Bhagawanpau, Swayambhu today.
