JSP’s Upendra Yadav sworn in; now PM Dahal’s Cabinet has four DPMs

KATHMANDU, March 10: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav has taken the oath of office and secrecy as a Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Health Minister. With this, the number of DPMs in the current government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reached four.

KATHMANDU, March 10: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav has taken the oath of office and secrecy as a Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Health Minister. With this, the number of DPMs in the current government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reached four. 



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth, and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane were already in the current Cabinet. The number of Deputy Prime Ministers increased to four with the addition of JSP Chair Yadav on Sunday.

Yadav and Nawal Kishor Shah have been added to the Cabinet from the JSP. Shah has taken oath as the Minister for Forest and Environment.


President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to them at Sheetal Niwas.
