The second installment was supposed to release in the fourth week of December. "We are finding it hard to run our households and cater to our personal need for want of money. We are facing very difficult times," said Man Bahadur Singh, a teacher at Koilichari Secondary School, Lumgaun, adding that they have heard that the salary would be released only after two months, which he said would only add to their problems.

When asked, the District Education Officer Narayan Krishna Shrestha said all the eight levels of the district share the same problem, and the failure to timely update the details of teachers to keep up with the new federal setup is to blame. "Teachers will be paid regularly from the next year," he said. RSS
