BARA, Jan 27: A joint team of entrepreneurs and representatives of various political parties encircled the District Administration Office of Bara on Thursday, demanding to declare Kalaiya Municipality as a sub- metropolitan city.
DAO was surrounded by the agitators for two hours from 10 to 12 am under the leadership of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Bara.

Since three weeks there have been protests at various levels in Bara accusing the Local Reconstruction Body Commission (LRBC) of not making such recommendations in its earlier report to the government. In its report LRBC had recommended to form Jitpur- Simara Sub Metropolitan city by combining some VDCs of the Gadhimai Municipality.
“We are fighting for the justice as the decision imposed by LRBC is wrong and it will have to withdraw it,” said Binod Shah, chairman of CCI, Bara.
