However, there is one person who he thinks he cannot win an argument with. The one person being lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar.

“He is impossible to win an argument with, ” said Karan at an event that he was hosting in the evening (Dec 20). The filmmaker anchored the launch of Amit Khanna’s book Word Sounds Images-A History Of Media and Entertainment in India, at an event held in Mumbai. The do also saw the presence of Sudhir Mishra, Kabir Bedi, Mahesh Bhatt, Javed Akhtar, Ronnie Screwvala taking the center stage as they shared interesting anecdotes related to Amit.


The book launch was also graced by people from the film fraternity including Rishi Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Mukesh Bhatt among others. The conversation touched interesting topics where film folks mentioned that Amit rightly predicted the future of the media way back in the years. They also spoke about him being the first from Bollywood to come up with a music video and also the one who coined the term ‘Bollywood’.
