Karnali State concludes pre-budget discussion, focuses road construction

HUMLA, May 10: The Economic Affairs and Planning Ministry of Karnali State has concluded a seminar on pre-budget discussion and collection of suggestions regarding the first periodic plan in the State.

HUMLA, May 10: The Economic Affairs and Planning Ministry of Karnali State has concluded a seminar on pre-budget discussion and collection of suggestions regarding the first periodic plan in the State.



Saying road construction is the first priority of the plan in Humla, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Prakash Jwala, said although Humla has difficult geographical territory; it has immense tourism potential. He said that the Karnali State government was effortful to ensure road access to Karnali from Surkhet via Simikot.

Similarly, State Planning Commission member, Dr Dipendra Rokaya, former state minister for education, Hasta Bahadur Malla, Nepali Congress leader, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Chief District Officer, Dholakraj Dhakal, Vice-Chair of District Coordination Committee, Khagedra Karki, among others stressed the need of putting the road constriction on first priority in the periodic plan.
