Khadka Bahadur and Lilawati all set for 'Yugal Sanjh'

Veteran folk singer duo Khadka Bahadur Budha Magar and Lilawati Budha Magar is all set for a musical event 'Yugal Sanjh' scheduled on April 12 at Rastriya Naach Ghar, Jamal. The duo has recorded 200 folk songs till now. They prefer authentic and local folk songs to sing. Moreover, Khadka is also well known musician and holds the title of Madal Samrat. In his musical career of 31 years, he has played madal for around 25 thousand recorded folk songs.

A press meet was organized on Friday at Reporter's Club Nepal by Salyan Sarokar Samajh. According to a press statement released by Salyan Sarokar Samajh all the arrangements have been done where the chief guest of the show will be the Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun.


It added that the duo will be performing around 12 songs in the program which will be broadcasted live on Sagarmatha Television. The press statement quoting Khadka Bahadur stated, “We will be performing songs from Salyan like Paainseru, Sorathi and Taap Naach. To perform on the songs, artists from Salyan will be at the event and we hope this event will not only showcase the culture of Salyan but will give the cultural glimpses of whole Karnali region."
