KMC collects Rs 8.5 m in revenue in past FY

KATHMANDU, July 19: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has collected around Rs 8.52 million in revenue as fees from people entering Ratna Park in the last 2015/16 fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, July 19: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has collected around Rs 8.52 million in revenue as fees from people entering Ratna Park in the last 2015/16 fiscal year.



Chief of the Ratna Park and Ranipokhari unit of the KMC Hari Sharan KC said that the total 329,623 people visited the park in the last year. People entering the park are charged Rs 25 each while students Rs 15 with discount.

Once turned into a mess with vendors operating their business everywhere and having earned notoriety as a place where prostitutes and drug addicts would frequent, the park at the heart of the valley underwent a complete facelift some months ago.


It offers numerous facilities like free Wifi and eateries for the visitors. RSS
