KUKL appeals for cautious stroll on river banks

KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) has urged all for cautious stroll on the river banks in the Kathmandu Valley, because the water used to clean the pipes laid for the distribution of Melamchi drinking water project would increase the level of water in the rivers.

KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) has urged all for cautious stroll on the river banks in the Kathmandu Valley, because the water used to clean the pipes laid for the distribution of Melamchi drinking water project would increase the level of water in the rivers. 



At a press meet organized by the KUKL Project Implementation Directorate here Friday, everyone was urged not to allow their children and livestock amble on the river banks. 



The Directorate has arranged to drain the water used to clean the pipes to the rivers as Bagmati, Rudramati, Bishnumati and Manohara. 



Moreover, the Kathmandu Valley people are directed not to use the water from the river even for the livestock because the chemical used to clean the pipe would make adverse impact on health.
