PARBAT, April 15: The deputy mayor of Kushma Municipality of Parbat was injured on Saturday in a road accident at Tallo Gagangauda of Pokhara Lekhnath Sub Metropolis – 32.
Sita Kafle was injured after a Bolera jeep (Na 4 Cha 5054) en route to Parbat from Kathmandu was struck by a truck (Na 2 Kha 9789) heading towards Dulegauda from Pokhara.
The deputy mayor and her daughter were travelling on the Bolero along with another passenger Shiva Chhetri and driver Binod Chhetri. The jeep overturned following the impact from the truck.
The injured are receiving treatment at the Gandaki Medical College and Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara. Police have detained the truck driver for interrogation and impounded both the vehicles involved in the mishap. RSS
