Pregnant women have been affected the most in particular for want of a maternity hospital. Of 20 clinics running in the metropolis, some have started a birthing centre. "They are finding it difficult to refer patients without a maternity hospital. The patients are referred either to Kathmandu-based Kist Hospital or Paropakar Maternity and Women's Hospital," he said.
