KATHMANDU, May 20: Aiming at easing the supply of daily essentials, Lalitpur Metropolitan City has directed departmental stores, retail stores, pharmacies, and vegetable and fruit shops, among others to operate throughout the day.
Issuing a press statement, the metropolitan city said that the big departmental stores have been directed to open from 10AM to 7PM, while small retail stores are asked to run from 7AMto 7PM.

As per the decision of the metropolitan, big departmental stores are required to set up a handwashing booth outside the store, and provide hand sanitizers to customers. Likewise, customers are also directed to put on face masks and maintain physical distancing in stores.
Similarly, retailers are also required to put face masks and wear hand gloves. The retail stores are also directed to put a price list of goods outside their shops.
