Lalitpur Patriots register their first victory

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Lalitpur Patriots have registered their first victory in the ongoing Everest Premier League (EPL-2018) here at Kirtipur on Sunday. Lalitpur Patriots managed to beat Chitwan Tigers by 11 runs in their second match. After winning the toss, Lalitpur Patriots elected to bat first and set the target of 144 runs for Chitwan Tigers on the second match of EPL.

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Lalitpur Patriots have registered their first victory in the ongoing Everest Premier League (EPL-2018) at Kirtipur on Sunday. Lalitpur Patriots managed to beat Chitwan Tigers by 11 runs in their second match. After winning the toss, Lalitpur Patriots elected to bat first and set the target of 144 runs for Chitwan Tigers on the second match of EPL.



Lalitpur Patriots collected 143 runs with a loss of 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Sonu Tamang smashed not out 35 runs from 24 deliveries. Likewise, GY Tomar, Sandip Jhora, JA Kolsawala and Sunny Patel made 30, 25, 20 and 19 runs respectively for Lalitpur Patriots.

Sandeep Lamichchane took highest 3 wickets to secure the victory for Lalitpur Patriots, Sunny Patel took 2 wickets and GY Tomar and LN Rajbanshi took single wickets for the victory of Lalitpur Patriots.


Chasing the target of 144 runs, Chitwan Tigers managed to collect only 132 runs with a loss of eight wickets playing allotted 20 overs.


Dipendra Singh Airee smashed highest 41 runs for Chitwan Tigers. Likewise, Skipper Prithu Baskota Bhim Sarki, GFB Scott and JA Simpson scored 26, 21, 18, and 13 runs respectively while chasing the target.


GFB Scott took 2 wickets for Chitwan Tigers while LS Bhandari, KS Airee and PR Stirling took one wicket each in the first inning of the match.
