Formation of parliamentary probe committee is NC's bottom line

"Pparliament is required to form a special probe committee to deal with the issue," he said, adding that corruption was the concern of the party since its establishment.

"We doubt the intentions of frequent meetings among three political parties since the scam came to light. Today, many political parties have been accused of having roles in the scam. The role of State bodies including those responsible for preventing corruption is questionable. Under all these circumstances, we are not convinced that the ongoing investigations against the scam would be concluded impartially. So, it is a must to handle the case by a special parliamentary committee."

The reports about the alleged money game in the Prime Minister's Office Baluwatar, ministers' quarters and the Singha Durbar in regard with the scam provided a ground for distrusting  the State bodies, according to the lawmaker who wanted that all accused and suspected in the case be brought under the purview of law.

He described the scam as a case capable of defaming Nepal and Nepalis internationally.
