BAJURA, Aug 18: Landslide swept five houses at Budiganga-1 municipality on Friday night and killed one while injuring another. Kala Pari, 45 was buried in her home while her husband, Nande Pari is severely injured. The landslide damaged goods and killed cattle.
The landslide has rendered 14 families homeless, according to District Police Office, Bajura.
Over 150 houses in Bajura at risk of dry landslide
Police had arrived late to the scene due to continuous rainfall and bad road conditions. Ward Chairperson of Badimalika-1 municipality, Rilaman said another 14 families are at risk of landslide.
Likewise, six families of Chededaha-6, rural municipality, Khaptad are without homes. A relief team led by CDO Chetraj Baral has departed from district headquarter to Kudi, Rila, Mustola and other places to provide immediate relief items, tents, food and blankets.
