Lebanese national arrested with $10,000 at TIA

KATHMANDU, July 18: Nepal Police arrested a foreign national with $10,000 from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).



A team of Nepal Police personnel, who were assigned to the airport security, arrested 42-year-old L Yaman Mohammad, a national of Lebanon, who was boarding a Nepal Airlines flight from Kathmandu to Dubai.

Nepal Police Headquarters said that he was arrested after security personnel on duty found $ 10,000 hidden in the bag in the course of security checking at the check-in area of TIA. He has been sent to the Department of Revenue Investigation, Hariharbhawan, Pulchowk, for further investigation.
