'Let's make Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success'

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: The government has urged the Nepal Tourism Board and the tourism organizations for their support to make the Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success.

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: The government has urged the Nepal Tourism Board and the tourism organizations for their support to make the Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success. 



Government has decided to observe the year 2020 as the Visit Nepal Year 2020, envisioning to attract as many as 2 million foreign tourists to the country.

At a programme organized by the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) here Friday, TAAN President Nabaraj Dahal argued that the role of every sector would be crucial in making the Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success. 


President Dahal argued, "It is imperative to attract the youths obtaining education in the tourism and hospitality sectors. Also the skills and knowledge of the tourism experts and winner of Miss Tourism should be utilized for the development of tourism." 


On the occasion, the winner of the Miss Tourism-2018 Manita Poudel, Miss Tourism-2018 First Runner-Up Prakiti Dhakal and Miss Tourism-2018 Second Runner-Up Shruti Thapa were honoured. 


According to Managing Director of Point Media Pvt Ltd Nabin Kafle, his organization had been organizing the Miss Tourism-2018 beauty contest for three consecutive years with an objective to increase youth's participation in the development and promotion of Nepal's tourism sector.
