KATHMANDU, April 18: At present there is a partial influence of local winds as well as western winds in the country. Due to its effect, there is a chance of rain in some parts of the country today.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, while the weather will be partly cloudy or generally clear in the rest of the country.

According to the department, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim (Far Western) provinces and in one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Koshi provinces. There is a possibility of a windstorm at a few places in Terai. Also, there is a possibility of fog in many parts of the country including Kathmandu.
Similarly, tonight the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and the rest of the area will be generally clear.
