Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning likely in five provinces

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: As the low-pressure line of monsoon is located closer to the southern part of Nepal, there is a partial influence of the low-pressure system in Madhya Pradesh of India and its surrounding areas, affecting Nepal to some extent.

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: As the low-pressure line of monsoon is located closer to the southern part of Nepal, there is a partial influence of the low-pressure system in Madhya Pradesh of India and its surrounding areas, affecting Nepal to some extent.



Light rain is predicted at a few places in Sudurpaschim, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces in the morning, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD). In the remaining parts of the country, the weather is generally clear with partly cloudy skies.

According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in certain places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places in the remaining provinces.


Furthermore, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at a couple of places in Lumbini Province. Tonight, there is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces and at one or two places in the remaining provinces.
