Lionel Messi is the highest-paid player in world football according to figures collated by France Football.
The French outlet have put together a list of the top 20 richest players, with salaries, bonuses and commercial revenue factored in.

And it's Messi who leads the way by quite a distance. It's reported that the five-time Ballon d'Or accrues a whopping €13017 million-per-year overall, earning €17 million more than Cristiano Ronaldo despite the Portuguese superstar signing an improved deal with Juventus and being an absolute marketing machine.
