Living martyr Kayastha passes away

KATHMANDU, May 11: Mukesh Kayastha, the wounded 'living martyr' of the second mass movement, has passed away. Mukesh Foundation mentioned that he passed away at Shir Memorial Hospital in Banepa at 8 pm on Wednesday during his treatment.

KATHMANDU, May 11: Mukesh Kayastha, the wounded 'living martyr' of the second mass movement, has passed away. Mukesh Foundation mentioned that he passed away at Shir Memorial Hospital in Banepa at 8 pm on Wednesday during his treatment.



Kayastha, who was a 'living martyr' for 17 years after being injured in the mass movement, died at the age of 32. Injured by security personnel during the protest on April 9, 2006. The bullet hit Kayastha's wrist. He was only 14 years old at that time.
