BHAIRAHAWA, Aug 27: Students studying in community schools in Rohini rural municipality, Rupandehi, from now on, do not have to drop their studies for the reason for exorbitant fees.

Chairperson Sanoj Kumar Yadav said that rural municipal office has decided to bear all the educational expenses of the community-school students up to class 10. "We will settle the admission fees of the students. If any students had paid during the beginning of the session, we are soon getting the money paid back to the guardians and the fees will be managed by the rural municipal office," said chairperson Yadav.

Yadav further said, “We were informed of some students being deprived of studies citing economic problems, which made us take this decision considering the fact that local governments must be with the people to support them .”

The schools in the rural municipality normally charge two hundred to one thousand as admission fees from students of grades 4 to 10. The rural municipal office has been bearing the education expenses of the students up to grade 3.

Following the decision, the local body has directed the schools to pay the money back and get the respective amount from the rural municipal office.
