KOHALPUR, March 8: Teenage lovebirds have committed suicide by consuming poison called 'Salfas' in Bardiya.
According to DSP Suresh Prasad Kafle of Area Police Office, Kohalpur, the deceased are Pramila Chaudhary, 13, of Dhadhabar-2, Bardiya and Satrughana Chaudhary, 16, of Dhadhabar-7.

Pramila and Satrughana who were rushed to Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur at 2 pm, died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday evening.
The teenagers had consumed the poison at 11 am after their parents denied them to get married, saying that they were still underage.
“The teenagers jointly consumed Salfas poison while the parents were holding talks about their marriage in the girl’s house on Tuesday morning,” said Kafle, adding, “The parents’ decision to prevent them from getting married led to their death.”
Police have sent the girl’s body to Bardiya District Hospital for postmortem.
