KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada presented the 'Economic Procedure and Fiscal Responsibility Bill - 2075 BS' today in a meeting of the House of Representatives.
Prior to this, the meeting refused (with the majority) a note of protest presented by lawmaker Prem Suwal regarding the proposal to seek the House permission to table the Bill.
Lower House endorses the Appropriation Bill, 2077 BS
Similarly, the session unanimously accepted the proposal introduced by the Finance Minister seeking consideration into amendment made by the National Assembly in regard to the 'Payment and Clearance Bill- 2075 BS'.
The meeting also endorsed the proposal tabled by the minister to send the Bill related to the Information Technology-2075 BS' to the respective committee for clause-wise deliberations. The session gave consent to the proposal unanimously.
Finance Minister presented the proposal on behalf of the Minister for Information and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota.
The Lower House shall meet again at 1:00 pm on February 28.
