Govt preparing to publish results by Mid-August
KATHMANDU, July 17: Most of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) students who were evaluated internally by their respective schools this year due to COVID-19 pandemic, have secured above 90 percent marks.
The government was unable to conduct physical examinations due to which most of the students have been able to score 80 to 90 percent. As many as 37,300 students of 1,700 schools in Kathmandu had participated in SEE this year, according to the Education Development and Coordination Unit of the district. Most of these students have scored more than 90 percent.

“Number of students scoring distinction in SEE has increased this year as compared to previous years,” said chief of the Unit, Nandalal Poudel. “Previously while the National Examination Board (NEB) conducted the examinations in physical presences of students only few students used to score 80 to 90 percent,” he added.
The unit is preparing to submit the result to the NEB this week.
NEB Examination Controller Rudraprasad Adhikari maintained that the SEE results will be made public by mid-August. “So far, NEB has received mark sheets of SEE students from 30 districts. We are yet to receive mark sheets from 47 more districts,” Adhikari said.
As many as 517,000 students had filled out registration forms of SEE examinations, according to Adhikari. However, the Education Development and Coordination Unit of districts have different data. According to them, 460,000 students had filled the forms for the same.
