KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1: Malaysia’s King Al-Sultan Abdullah has expressed his desire to see Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.


He made such a remark during a function organised to welcome newly-appointed ambassador of Nepal to Malaysia, Dilli Raj Paudel.

Ambassador Paudel submitted his credentials to the Malaysian king during a special ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.


During the program, King Abdullah congratulated Poudel for being appointed as Nepal’s ambassador to Malaysia. Paudel also held discussions with the Malaysian king about the bilateral relations between Nepal and Malaysia.


The discussions were focused on expansion of bilateral relations and mutual interests between the two countries. Ambassador Paudel expressed his commitment to take the relationship between the two countries to a new height. Paudel also expressed his greetings to King Abdullah on behalf of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.


The two also discussed the general elections held recently in Malaysia and Nepal.
