UDAYAPUR, Dec 29: Police have arrested Umesh Sadaa, 21, of Gahirun in Triyuga Municipality 9, Udayapur, on the charge of rape. The accused, who had fled right after the crime was arrested after five months. Officials from the District Police Office, Udaypur, arrested Sadaa on Thursday afternoon.

Sadaa who was on the run after raping a local girl on July 24 was on the police's wanted list. He was arrested on the basis of special information received by the command team of an Assistant Sub Inspector of Police.
Superintendent of Police, Bir Bahadur Buda Magar, said, “Sadaa is now in the custody at the District Police Office and an investigation into his case is underway. He will be punished according to the rape law of Nepal.”
