BHAKTAPUR, July 13: A woman died after she was hit by a hammer by her husband over a domestic spat at Suryabinayak-4, Sallaghari on Wednesday.
According to police, Bijay Karki, 35, hit his better half, Deepa Karki, 25, to death at around 4 pm today.
Inspector Hemanta Thapa at Metropolitan Police Circle at Jagati told Republica Online that Bijay has been arrested, adding that the dead body has been sent to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for postmortem.
Deepa was a teacher at Suryadeep Higher Secondary School, Sallaghari.
Deepa’s family members have said that Bijay was a drug addict, however, his family has refuted the claim.
