The Nepali translation of actress Manisha Koirala's book 'Healed' has been released recently. Fineprint is the publisher of the book translated into Nepali by journalist Swarup Acharya.

Speaking on the occasion of 'Jijivisha' launch, actress Koirala said, "I did not start writing this book intentionally. During my treatment of cancer in the United States, Rinpoche asked me to keep notes of what happened to me when I was suffering from cancer. Since then I have noted down in writing the pain and difficulty, sorrows and sufferings during my treatment, which I brought later in the form of a book.”

According to her, she wrote the book keeping in mind that her experience and the knowledge gained from cancer would be useful to society. "My purpose behind writing a book is a hope that it could be a guide for those facing adversity in life,” she added.

Many people think that there is no sorrow in 'glamorous life', but it is not like that, she said. "I have endured a lot of difficult situations," she said. "Most people want to show only the 'perfection' of their lives, but I have expressed the 'bitter truth of life' instead of showing 'perfection' in the book."

"I'm as honest in the book as I can be," she said.

She said that before she was diagnosed with cancer, she did not understand the importance of life, and later, when she was near dying, she learnt a lot about it. "I used to be very careless.”
