KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said he is saddened by the Bara accident wherein many people lost their lives, and many others were injured.
In a condolence message on Thursday, the former Prime Minister offered his condolence to the deceased and the bereaved families. Wishing for speedy recovery of the injured, he urged the authorities concerned to provide reliefs and compensation to the families of the dead and injured. At least 16 people were killed and 35 others injured in the accident at Amlekhgunj at Jitpur Simara Sub Metropolitan City-22 in Bara district along the East-West Highway.

He also urged the people to stay alert in view of continuous rains at different parts of the country while directing the party line to be ready for rescue and relief efforts to the victims of natural disasters.
