Maoist Center decides to vote in favor of Deuba’s confidence motion

KATHMANDU, July 18: The ruling CPN (Maoist Center) has formally decided to vote in favor of the confidence motion registered by Prime MInister Sher Bahadur Deuba at the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

KATHMANDU, July 18: The ruling CPN (Maoist Center) has formally decided to vote in favor of the confidence motion registered by Prime MInister Sher Bahadur Deuba at the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The Maoist party, which holds 48 votes [excluding Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota] in the 275-member House of Representatives, is also a coalition partner of the Deuba-led government. 


A meeting of  the parliamentary party of the Maoist Center held at the Singha Durbar-based office took the decision in this regard. The meeting unanimously decided to vote for Deuba who is seeking a vote of trust from parliament as per Article 76 (6).
