Mayor Balen proposes to appoint MDGP doctors and nurses in all 32 wards of Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, August 28: Balendra Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu metropolis, has proposed to have General Practitioners (MDGP doctors and nurses) in all 32 wards of the metropolis.

KATHMANDU, August 28: Balendra Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu metropolis, has proposed to have General Practitioners (MDGP doctors and nurses) in all 32 wards of the metropolis.



In Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s executive meeting on Sunday, Mayor Shah proposed to have MDGP doctors and nurses in all 32 wards of the metropolis.

He proposed to keep 32 MDGP doctors and 32 nurses on contract for running ward clinics in all 32 wards.


Mayor Shah said that if a general physician can be hired in the ward clinic rather than an MBBS doctor, it is easier to get health advice and treatment for any problem immediately.
