KATHMANDU, Nov 8: Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor Balen Shah has sent a reply to the Election Commission (EC).
Earlier, the EC asked Shah to clarify about the campaigning done by the candidates of various constituencies of Hamro Nepali Party through the Facebook page called 'Jai Lauro' that they support Mayor Shah.

Responding to this, Shah has sent a reply stating that he does not have any affiliation with the said party and that action will be taken if his name is used for campaigning.
The commission had asked Shah, “Do you have any affiliation to the Hamro Nepali party headed by Engineer Anantaraj Ghimire, or not? If you do not have any party affiliation with our Nepali party, the said party is constantly asking for the votes of its party and candidates using your pictures and names. Is there any express or implied agreement to do so or not?” The commission had asked Mayor Shah to make things clear.
