POKHARA, June 30: A meeting of the chief ministers of all seven provinces will be held in Pokhara today under the leadership of the Gandaki provincial government.



Gandaki Province Government Spokesperson Saraswati Aryal said that the meeting will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. He said that there will be discussion and interaction between the Chief Ministers. It is said that the meeting will discuss issues such as exchange of experience between provinces, the rights that provinces should have according to the constitution.

Earlier, the Chief Minister's meeting was scheduled to be held on May 24, but it was postponed due to Prime Minister Dahal's busy schedule. The meeting is going to be held for the second time. 


The first conference of chief ministers of all seven provinces was held on September 7 and 8, 2018, at the initiative of the then Chief Minister of Gandaki, Prithvi Subba Gurung. The conference had even issued an eight-point declaration.
