BAITADI, Dec 15: In what we call a gruesome manner, a youth killed his own grandparents by striking them with a cudgel at Pattharkot in Surnaya rural municipality-7 on Saturday morning.
According to District Police Office, Baitadi, 25-year-old Lokendra Kunwar, son of Pathan Singh Kunwar, murdered his grandfather, 84-year-old Gagan Kunwar and 76-year-old grandmother Naru Kunwar in cold blood at 11:20 am today.

Both of them died on the spot. Shankarpur Police Post has taken Lokendra into custody and investigating the case. Lokendra is said to be mentally unsound.
A police team led by Gehendra Bahadur Bogati has been deployed to the incident site for further investigation, District Police Office, Baitadi told Republica Online.
